Georgia Aquarium

Georgia Aquarium

Back in April, I had a family reunion in Atlanta, Ga. Now while we also visited the famed Coke Museum and Stone Mountain… I wasn’t as taken with those as much as the Georgia Aquarium, which had narrowly avoided a tornado a couple weeks prior.

Winterbirds @ Bottom Of The Hill - 2008.05.12

The Winterbirds are a side project for the lead singer and guitarist from Built For The Sea. I really enjoyed this opening set from them, reminded me a lot of Low. Lia Rose has a wonderful voice and this type of lo-fi indie rock suites her very well.

The Heavy @ The Mezzanine - 2008.05.03

The Heavy are a rock party band from the UK who put on an intense live show. Their lead singer really gets people involved and it was a lot of fun to shoot this band. This was a Playboy “Rock The Rabbit” show, so they had some playmate on stage with them at one point.

Phosphorescent @ The Independent - 2008.03.24

I caught Phosphorescent, on tour with Bon Iver, and took a quick couple of minutes during his set to run down from the balcony to snap these shots. That night I was working and had to handle the audio for a video shoot we were doing for Cameraphonic and La Blogotheque.
