I have been trying out different pin-up style shots and processes lately. I’ve always loved the style of work and want to try and get into it more. I used to love drawing different pin-up style girls and would try my best to replicate Gil Elvgren and Alfons Mucha (I even tried to learn how to use watercolors in the styles they did, wouldn’t say I picked it up too easily!!). One of the best parts of my trip to Europe a few years ago was being able to go to Prague and actually see his originals at the Mucha museum.

This is just something I threw together this afternoon, I have 3 months of shoots to still sort through where I am going to work on refining these techniques a bit.

Something I realized halfway into editing this, is that this was the first time I ever met Lisa. We’ve done maybe a half dozen shoots since and this was just one of those random test shots you fire off to make sure everything is working.
