A buddy of mine, David Bazan, is playing a small string of house shows here in the Bay Area. Last night he played in Berkeley, tonight is Santa Cruz, and next week is here in San Jose. It was a great evening, a very intimate show setting with some really awesome Q & A sessions.

Retribution Gospel Choir take the catchy beats from Low and turn up the amps to play a great mix of crude guitar rock with some of the bluesiest stoner-rock I’ve heard in awhile.

Norwegian singer/songwriter, Sondre Lerche, made his way to Bumbershoot on his US tour in support of his recent releases, Dan In Real Life soundtrack and Phantom Punch. The crowd he gathered was so immense that I couldn’t get up close to take photos…

Bumbershoot had a pretty good Bay Area lineup this year. Not the least of all was Ice Cube’s cousin, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, hailing from Richmond, California!

Really a fun group to shoot. Just peeved that I lost most my shots except this one in my hard drive crash…. argh!

Local Bay Area musician/recording studio owner, John Vanderslice, made his way to Seattle and performed to the fans of Bumbershoot and gave his usual “all”.
