Bikini Car Wash Promo Shoot # 2 – 2009.02.10

Not even a week after the first shoot, we decided to try out a new girl for some photos and to just get more material to work with for our line of posters and prints for the car washes.

I made a new logo for the bikini car washes and you can kind of see it in the right hand bottom corner. It’s Marina (made of bubbles and over lapping onto the logo) sitting on a chrome rim. It looks a lot better on a t-shirt.

Dani and I got together on a chilly November evening to try and do something with a bit more “edge” to it and try out my new wireless flashes I had just picked up.

We trekked through the abandoned orchard by my house on the dark and cold evening and decided on a random outcrop of trees in the center of the field. Once everything was setup, Dani was a trooper as I had to find the correct flash settings and focused point.

This shot was Dani was done very last minute and not without any of the problems that follow that. First she was late getting to the South Bay because of evening traffic, then the lighting we were going to use somehow was forgotten, and we were running out of sunlight quickly. With all this to consider I decided we’d head over to the coast and try and get in a last minute beach shoot.

We ended up coming up to a cove about 20 minutes north of Santa Cruz and just getting the last 5 minutes of sunlight left. These are the results of that quick shoot.
