As soon as they came out on stage, the lead singer ran for the drum kit, grabbed a cymbal with its stand, and tossed it about 15 feet into the crowd.

One band I had kept hearing about all weekend at the press tent was this group called Battles. Not getting a chance to check them out prior to the festival I found myself at their set on the Wookie stage and being completely blown away at how skillfully tight a band these guys were. Ex-Helmet [...]

There was a moment while I was in the photo pit and on one side of me were the band just merely playing their songs, while just 6 feet away was a wave of people jumping up and down, singing along, and things just seemed to make sense.

The Cure played a remarkable set just short of 3 hours, playing most of their hits and even a good mix of newer material for the Sasquatch Main Stage crowd. I missed the regulatory “first three songs, no flash” in the pit because I was watching the end of Malkmus’ set, so I had to [...]

One band I didnt expect to see at all this weekend were POTUSA. Of course I had remembered their hits when I was younger like Peaches and Lump, but I never thought they’d still be around and rocking. They commanded the crowds attention and put on a really fun and energetic show.

Rogue Wave are local California Bay Area indie-rockers who I was excited to get a chance to see. They play a lot around here, but for one reason or another I have yet to see them live. I really liked what I heard and will definitely be checking them out again.
